Kelsey DeLeon

Kelsey is a Registered Nurse, health educator, and devoted heart mom. She is honored to join the New England Region Council of the Children’s Heart Foundation as the Awareness/Advocacy and Outreach Lead.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, a Bachelor of Arts in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and a Master of Arts in Health Studies (Health Education and Health Promotion). She is a Registered Nurse in the State of New York and an Instructor in the Public Health Department at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has spent the last 12 years of her career providing compassionate clinical care and education in the field of women and children’s health.
She resides in upstate New York with her wife and young son, Finley. When Finley was diagnosed with critical congenital heart disease during her pregnancy in 2022, Kelsey knew an important part of her life would include advocating for the health and well-being of her son and all children affected by congenital heart disease. She quickly fell in love with the heart community and participated in the New England Congenital Heart Walk for the first time in 2024.
She has been struck by the importance of community and connection throughout her journey as a heart mom, and always wants families navigating congenital heart disease to feel deeply supported. She is the Advocacy & Outreach Lead on the New England Region Council and looks forward to continuing her work on the New England Region Council.
