Amanda Dwyer

Amanda Dwyer is a Midwest gal. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a degree in Finance, International Business and French, she spent two years overseas. While in France she taught English to primary school students and became fluent in the French language. Upon returning to the US, Amanda began working with Hostelling International USA in the Chicago hostel. After starting as a member of the Chicago executive staff, she was recognized for her professionalism and talent and was quickly promoted to the National stage to become the National Sales and Revenue Manager advising and overseeing 60+ hostels around the United States.

She met her comedian husband Pat in Chicago while taking classes at ComedySportz. In 2014 they welcomed Lucy and was joined by Sam in 2016. At Sam’s 20 week ultrasound, Moderate Aortic Valve Stenosis was detected. Consequently, the day after his birth, he received a balloon catheterization at Children’s Wisconsin and although he’ll require a series of valve replacement surgeries in the future, he’s doing great.

After learning early on about the Children’s Heart Foundation, Amanda became involved in the first Milwaukee Congenital Heart Walk in 2019 by forming a leading team and forming the first walk committee. Ever since, she has been deeply invested in the continued growth of the Children’s Heart Foundation. She is excited to get further involved with the CHF and its newest Minnesota/Wisconsin regional council to continue to raise awareness about CHDs and the need for continued research.
