Madeline Runco
Madeline has been an active advocate for congenital heart defect research since her son, Alexander, was born with CHD. As both a heart warrior and a heart warrior mom, she understands firsthand the life-changing impact of research, innovation, and community support for families navigating a diagnosis. Committed to advancing CHF’s goals, Madeline has used her platform as a Pageant Queen (Mrs. District of Columbia America 2025, Mrs. Maryland International 2026) to raise awareness and support for congenital heart defect research, championing heart families and honoring the resilience of children living with CHDs. She is honored to further her impact as a Member of the Board of Directors.
Professionally, Madeline serves as a Senior Cloud and AI Specialist at Microsoft, partnering with state and local governments to drive digital transformation and innovation. She holds degrees from American University, Georgetown University, and Quantic School of Business and Technology. Madeline is supported by her husband, James, and their two sons, Alexander and Maxwell, who share her deep belief in improving outcomes for children living with congenital heart defects.
