"At the Heart of Research" Chat: Dr. Audrey Dionne

In this research chat, Jessica Cowin, Manager of Research & Advocacy at The Children's Heart Foundation, speaks with Dr. Audrey Dionne, of Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Dionne's research was recently funded by The Children’s Heart Foundation and American Heart Association through their joint Congenital Heart Defect Research Awards program for her work predicting arrhythmogenic risk in post-operative congenital heart disease patients.

"If successful, this work will lead to an evidence-based protocol for diagnosis and management of patients at risk for supraventricular tachycardia following congenital heart surgery. Such a protocol would be reproducible and disseminable to other institution and may decrease the morbidity and mortality of post-operative tachyarrhythmias in children with congenital heart disease."
