Sara Pasquali, MD, MHS

Dr. Sara Pasquali is the Janette Ferrantino Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, where she serves as the Service Chief of Pediatric Cardiology. She is also a faculty member at the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Pasquali's research, which is supported by National Institutes of Health funding, focuses on outcomes and quality assessment in children undergoing heart surgery, and she has authored more than 200 publications in this area. She leads the Pediatric Heart Network’s Integrated CARdiac Data and Outcomes (iCARD) Collaborative, and serves as the co-director of Cardiac Networks United, which spans five major networks in the field to accelerate research and improvement initiatives and now includes more than two-thirds of U.S. congenital heart centers. Dr. Pasquali also serves as the chair of the annual scientific sessions for the American Heart Association’s Council on Cardiovascular Disease in the Young.
