Position Overview
The Marketing & Communications Intern will support CHF’s marketing and communications efforts, with a strong focus on social media content creation and day-to-day support for the Director of Marketing & Communications. This is an excellent opportunity for a current college student interested in storytelling, digital media, nonprofit communications, and cause-based
marketing to gain hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Digital Content
- Assist with creating and scheduling content for CHF’s social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn - Explore TikTok as a new channel for the organization
- Support short-form video creation (Reels), including brainstorming ideas, drafting captions, and editing simple videos
- Help monitor social media channels, respond to comments/messages as appropriate, and track engagement
- Assist with content organization and management
Marketing & Communications Support
- Assist the Director of Marketing & Communications with day-to-day tasks and projects
- Help draft and edit written content, including social media captions, short articles, emails, blog posts, and event promotions
- Support marketing efforts for CHF events, campaigns, and research announcements
- Assist with content calendars and scheduling of social media content
Qualifications
- Current college student majoring in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
- Strong written communication skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with social media platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok
- Interest in digital storytelling, social media trends, and content creation
- Basic video editing skills
- Experience with Canva
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Passion for nonprofit work, healthcare, advocacy, or storytelling is a plus

Time Commitment
